Community League Day: September
Community League Day is an event that takes place in September in collaboration the Edmonton Federation of Community Leagues (EFCL). With the new membership year starting just before the event, Community League Day serves to not just tell, but show what being member of our Community League can do for you. Mainstays of our event include the ability to talk directly with representatives of the league, visits from elected officials, a free pancake breakfast, and a big bin event made available for members. Membership purchases are available during the event!
Annual General Meeting (AGM): October
The Annual General Meeting (AGM) is a regularly scheduled yearly meeting, at which the league's major priorities are decided. Both members and directors are given notice and informed of the agenda, and all members of the public are permitted to attend. During the meeting, matters of elections, reports by the directors, president, and committees are reviewed, a new agenda is adopted, and auditors are appointed. Members are required to attend to achieve quorum, and non-members are encouraged to participate in the event. We look forward to seeing you there!
Westwood WinterFest: February
Westwood WinterFest is an event we hold around Family Day every year, meant to help people get together in our community and enjoy some winter fun. Hot dogs, hot chocolate, coffee, and s'mores, around a a festive open fire are all part of the festivities, and we hope to bring the same level of Winter fun again and again! Along with food and drink, we also plan to have fun winter activities, as well as an open invite to bring your toboggans and sleds to the parks hill!
St. Patrick's Day Karaoke and Trivia Night: March
St. Patrick's Day karaoke and trivia night is a Westwood Community League mainstay, where we celebrate with themed trivia and an open invitation to get on stage and sing to your heart's content! Prizes are given out to winners, like gift cards to local businesses, and beer, wine, snacks, and food are available for purchase, and dressing up all in green are also part of our
St. Patrick's Day celebration.

Earth Day Community Clean Up: April
Westwood Community League's Neighbourhood Cleanup Earth Day Event serves to give residents and community members a chance to get together and do their part for Earth Day. Kicking off with a barbeque lunch, residents are encouraged to come out, eat some food, and make connections with other community-minded people before getting out for neighbourhood cleanup. After the barbeque kick off, Westwood Community League provides cleanup kits and everyone is set off for an afternoon of planet saving action!
Westwood SummerFest & Car Show: June
The Westwood SummerFest & Rick Goebel Memorial Car Show is our biggest event of the year, a community favourite, and a great way to connect and engage with your community, featuring an amazing car show with beautiful, rare, and classic cars! Along with the car show, the event features a variety of vendors, food trucks, activities for kids, and 50/50 raffle. Westwood SummerFest is a great way to spend a summer evening and experience the best our community has to offer!
