The 2026 Westwood SummerFest & Second Annual Rick Goebel Memorial Show n' Shine is happening at Westwood Community League on June 19, 2026 at 5:00 PM! Get ready for a day filled with classic cars, live music, and delicious food. Bring your family and friends to enjoy the summer vibes and admire some stunning vehicles. We'll also have trophies for People's Choice and Judge's Choice and children's activities, 50/50 raffle, giveaways, and so much more! Whether you're a car enthusiast or just looking for a fun time, this event is perfect for everyone!

Westwood Greenshack Program

The Green Shack program is a free drop-in program that caters to children ages 6 to 12. All ages, however are welcome.

Every summer, program leaders host games, challenges and activities that are sure to get kids active and having fun. A list of activities and special events is posted on the side of the Green Shack each week. Program staff organize games, crafts and events.

Days: Monday - Friday
Time: 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm 

Please Note:
Children are free to come and go at any time during the program. Because of this drop-in format, staff:
  • Do not maintain specific staff-to-child ratios
  • Are not responsible for keeping children on site or supervising them until pickup 
  • Note: this program is not a childcare service

Parents/guardians must determine if their child can safely attend independently. Children under 6 years of age can still participate if they have a parent or guardian with them.

Daycares and Groups:
Daycares and other large groups are welcome to attend program activities. Please bring your own craft supplies specific to your group​

  • Inquiries to 311 made by phone, online, or through the 311 app;
  • Direct inquiries with the City Councillor for our neighbourhood, Anne Stevenson ([email protected]); and,
  • Traffic safety concerns sent to [email protected].
