Annual General Meeting (AGM)

Thursday, October 22, 2026 | 7:00 pm
​This is a yearly gathering to review the past year's work, check the finances, vote on new board leaders, and discuss community plans. This year's AGM will include free pizza at 6:30 pm for all WCL members! 🍕 
(Memberships will be available for purchase!)

Key Purposes of a Community League AGM
  • Share Updates: Discuss local events, sports programs, and projects.
  • Elect Board Members: Elect or re-elect community volunteers.
  • Shape Direction: Neighbors can ask questions, voice concerns, and vote on changes to league bylaws or upcoming community initiatives.
Who Can Attend and Vote?
  • Attendance: Open to all neighborhood residents who want to learn about or get involved in their local community.
  • Voting: Restricted to current, valid league members who hold voting privileges according to the league's specific bylaws. (Memberships will be available for purchase!)
In the event that we are not able to meet the required number of attendees for the AGM (a.k.a "Quorum"; 15 people), the event will be rescheduled for Thursday, October 29, 2026 at 7:00 pm.

Fall 2026 Yoga with Rita Mistry

Every Monday for eight (8) weeks | 7:00 - 8:30 pm

Westwood Community League is proud to offer a fall somatic exercise and yoga session of 8 weekly classes beginning October 26, 2026 hosted by Rita Mistry!

Please reach out to Roisin at (780) 691-0601 to reserve your spot! Spots are limited!

Details: 1h 30m somatic exercise and yoga class.
Dates: Weekly from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm beginning on Monday, October 26 and ending Monday, December 14.
Cost: $50 for members & $100 non-members.

MAXIMUM 10 STUDENTS PER CLASS.
YOGA MAT REQUIRED.

  • Inquiries to 311 made by phone, online, or through the 311 app;
  • Direct inquiries with the City Councillor for our neighbourhood, Anne Stevenson ([email protected]); and,
  • Traffic safety concerns sent to [email protected].
​Westwood residents, your voice matters! Together, we can make our streets safer for everyone. Sharing your thoughts ensures that Westwood is considered for proactive measures like traffic calming infrastructure, mobile enforcement, and other traffic safety improvements.
