Volunteering in Your Community

Current Opportunities
  • Help with planting and/or caring for our pop-up community garden this summer (June-August)
  • Volunteer at events for tasks such as set up/clean up, preparing or serving food, selling memberships, performing, running kids' activities, etc. (July, August)
Westwood Community League greatly values and primarily functions with volunteers. Through volunteer work we are able to run more community events, provide more services to our neighbours, and increase the frequency and scale of our league programs and socials.
Volunteer benefits include:
  • Invitations to volunteer appreciation events and workshops
  • A chance to connect with neighbours on a personal level
  • Free food!
Events
At our league events we are looking for volunteers to help with:
  • Event set-up and clean-up
  • Food preparation and handling
  • Invitation delivery
  • Pop-up community garden
